The World is my Oyster!

Today was my last day of exams! and I've never felt so free in my life. Its funny how when I'm studying I can find one million things to do besides studying but when I don't have to study I can't think of anything to do at all.

Since it was an exam day for me I was too stressed to come up with a dressy outfit so I decided to go comfortable and this is what I wore! To be honest I think even if I didn't have an exam I probably still would have worn this outfit because I just don't feel like dressing up today. Maybe since my exams have finished I'll have more time to make outfit posts. I'm noticing that a lot of bloggers around the world have started their summer holidays and I seriously find that really interesting because my holidays start in early July. Even though we've finished all our exams we still have to go back to school to start on second year work.

The Abaya Mission

I've noticed that there are lots of misconceptions about wearing the abaya and one of the main ones is wearing colours. A lot of people both Muslims and non Muslim think that We are compelled to wear only black and to be honest that's not true at all. So I recently bought a couple of fabrics with this in mind. I have decided that I will try my best to wear as little black as possible to help open up many Muslimahs to not only wearing the abaya but to help eradicate a lot of misconceptions about being a Muslim. One abaya at a time!

I got two abayas I got made, this beautiful jeans looking blue and this lovely purple colour. I have more fabrics but now the only question left is what design should I get made? I'm inspired by the beautiful Abayas from a company called the EDZ Boutique a Abaya store in Malaysia. I really do love this style of Abaya, Its a shame they don't have a beautiful abayas like these in stores here in the UK. Anyway...I've been really loving the flowy Abaya style and for the inshallah upcoming sunny days its great for that extra whoosh of air! ;) if you know what i mean!

So which style would look nice on which coloured fabric?

Welcome Winter!

There's something that's strangely magical about winter about the cold icy wind bounce off your warm face. The short days and the long nights. They say its the best time for a Muslim and I couldn't agree more. In winter a Hijabi can cover up without people constantly asking her if shes hot in that, because there all dressed alike. So I welcome winter this year inshaAllah.
